My name is Kate Rigby and Carafino is a new cattery based in Squeaking Point on the beautiful North West Coast of Tasmania.
Carafino means "my best love" in Italian and that’s truly what my cats are to me!

I got my first kitten Sabriel, on Christmas Day 2005 and since then I have not looked back. She is an absolutely gorgeous girl who likes nothing better than to collapse in front of the fire or in the warm patch of sun and get tummy rubs.
Six months after that I got my gorgeous blue stud boy Memphis who is the biggest smooch. From the day he came home with me he has barely stopped purring, he's like a little tractor. It doesn't take much to set him off.
My newest addition to the family is Phoenix, a future Queen from Sabriel's first litter. Phoenix has followed in Memphy's footsteps, or should I say paw prints and is so affectionate that some nights it's impossible to pry her away from my head where she lays purring and pawing at my hair. She's taken top rank in the house, even over Sabriel. She's been like it since she was first weaned and if she could help it would never leave our side.

I got Sabriel after moving here from Hobart and after having cats for such a long time down there I needed a cat to complete my lifestyle change. Sab, Phoenix and Memphy are some of the most gorgeous cats, in looks and personality that I have ever known and I am so much more content now that I have a kitten or two sleeping with me every night.
